Here's what I mean:
Are the people in your business circle genuinely supportive, or do they tell you what you want to hear? Do they share your values about how you want to run your business, or are they constantly pushing you toward strategies that don't feel right? When you share a win, do they celebrate with you? Do they offer real help or just generic advice when you're struggling?
I know it's not always easy to step back from relationships that aren't serving us, especially when we've invested time or money. But just like I wouldn't have enjoyed my vacation with someone who wanted to rush through everything while I wanted to relax, trying to grow a business surrounded by the wrong people can turn what should be exciting into something stressful and draining.
Take a moment this week to look around. Who's lifting you up? Who's making this entrepreneurial journey more enjoyable and sustainable? Those are the relationships worth investing in.
And if you realize your circle could use some supportive voices, well, that's something worth addressing, too.
I'd love to hear from you: Reply and tell me about someone who's been genuinely supportive in your business journey. What did they do that made a difference? I read every response, and your stories always inspire me.
