Tip of the Week: 3 Ways to Spark Joy at Your Gathering

1. The Gratitude Jar: Get the kids to decorate a special jar or basket. Cut up some paper strips and keep them near the jar with pens. Throughout the day, encourage everyone to write something they're grateful for. 2. The Secret Appreciation Game: Put everyone's name in a hat and have each person draw one (redraw if you get your own). During dinner, take turns sharing what you appreciate about the person whose name you drew. It's beautiful to watch faces light up with unexpected compliments!
3. The "Even Though" Practice: Before heading to your gathering, try this: Think of someone who might challenge you tomorrow and write down three things you love about them. When tensions rise, return to your list mentally. It's harder to stay frustrated when you're focused on someone's good qualities!
